There are two things that will make it easier to learn: Know and understand the various definitions and technical terms that are used. Know the relationships between the different homologous series of compounds. A chart showing these relationships can be found in the Chemistry Study Notes (Oxygen-containing Organic Compounds) in the Exam Centre.
